RSPC " Neurology and Neurosurgery"

In the last 20 years alone, 11 doctoral and 36 PhD theses have been defended by the Institute's staff and employees of other institutions (under the guidance and on the basis of the Institute) on the problem of "diseases of the peripheral nervous system".

By order of the Ministry of the Republic of Belarus № 504 of September 9, 2005 state institution "research Institute of neurology, neurosurgery and physiotherapy" of the Ministry of health of the Republic of Belarus was renamed on 1 October 2005, the state institution "Republic scientific practical center of neurology and neurosurgery" of the Ministry of health of the Republic of Belarus.

The center received a new clinical base for neurological departments and scientific laboratories, and in 2007 it was started major reconstruction with the construction of a new operating and resuscitation module. In those years, the work on the revival of such areas as endovascular, functional and stereotactic neurosurgery in the Republic became more active.

From 2010 to March 2015, associate Professor A. L. Tanin was the Director of the rnpc of neurology and neurosurgery. He paid close attention to the training of specialists, especially young people, and the development of new technologies by employees, including in foreign clinics. Under his leadership, the construction and reconstruction of the Center and its technological re-equipment were successfully completed in 2012. The purpose of the reconstruction was to improve the quality of highly specialized neurological and neurosurgical medical care, improve the quality of disease diagnosis through the introduction of new technologies.

On January 28, 2013, the RSPC of neurology and neurosurgery was visited by the President of the Republic of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko, who got acquainted with the clinical and diagnostic base of the center. The head of state highly appreciated the level of technological equipment and professionalism of the RSPC neurology and neurosurgery staff.

The Center has created all conditions for the development of neurological and neurosurgical science, innovative developments and the introduction of import-substituting and fundamentally new diagnostic and therapeutic technologies. Organizational, methodological and clinical management of the neurological and neurosurgical service of the Republic is provided to solve demographically significant medical problems of the state.

Since March 9, 2015, the Director of the Center is doctor of medical Sciences Sidorovich Ryszard Romualdovich.
